The main house is now inhabited by the family of Seboo, Donata Origo’s painter son. The separate barn once used as his studio has recently been transformed into a comfortable three-bedroomed guest house with the one of the most stunning views over the whole of the Val d’Orcia.
Casaccia is completely separate from the main house, with its own garden and outside living and dining spaces overlooking the valley, the “crete Senesi” (characteristic clay hillocks with their own vegetation) and the Monte Amiata in the background. The Casaccia guests share the swimming pool with the family of the owner and their guests. Marvelous trails in the countryside and the woods lead to the clay hills and the woods.
The enchanting combination of laidback comfort and Tuscan furniture gives this house a warm and welcoming feeling. The kitchen/living/dining room is an open space with a French door opening directly onto the garden. An outdoor dining table under a pergola, as well as another indoor one make it possible to organize pleasant family meals and gastronomic events, both in and out of doors. A traditional wood oven is also available for making pizza, bread and succulent roasts.
Casaccia has 2 double bedrooms and one twin, each with its own bathroom. Air-conditioning has recently been added.
